About As-Subah Outreach

As-Subah Outreach is a UK-registered charity dedicated to alleviating poverty and providing sustainable development solutions. Founded on Islamic principles of compassion and service, we work to transform lives through practical, dignified assistance.

Our mission

To serve humanity by providing sustainable support to communities facing poverty and hardship. We believe in empowering individuals and families to build better futures—not through temporary relief, but through lasting solutions that restore dignity and independence.

Our vision

A world where every person has access to clean water, nutritious food, quality education, and the opportunity to live with dignity. We envision communities that are self-sufficient, resilient, and equipped to thrive.

Our story

As-Subah Outreach began as an education charity, founded on the belief that every child deserves access to quality learning—especially Quranic education and Islamic knowledge. We started by supporting local maktabs and sponsoring students in their journey to become Hafiz, recognising that education is the foundation upon which communities build their future.

The name "As-Subah" means "the morning" in Arabic—representing hope, new beginnings, and the dawn of a better day. Just as the morning brings light after darkness, we strive to bring hope and support to families facing hardship.

As we grew and deepened our relationships with communities across Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Gambia, and Palestine, we witnessed interconnected needs that education alone could not address. Families struggling to afford school fees were also facing food insecurity. Communities without clean water could not sustain the schools we supported. Parents lacking livelihoods could not prioritise their children's education.

Recognising these realities, we expanded our reach to include water projects, livelihood support, emergency food relief, and masjid construction—always maintaining our core commitment to education while addressing the wider context that enables learning to flourish. Today, we operate across all these areas, guided by transparency, efficiency, and genuine impact, with education remaining at the heart of our mission.
